Gina Aniano
Gina Aniano is a predoctoral FPI research fellow on the project “You Win Some, You Lose Some: Building Policy Compromise in Polarized Democracies (COMPROMISE),” coordinated by PI Macarena Ares Abalde. She is a PhD candidate in Political Science at the University of Barcelona.
Her research focuses on political socialization, particularly how formative political experiences shape support for democracy, regime change, and far-right parties. More broadly, she is interested in political behavior, political psychology, and comparative politics.
Gina holds an MSc in Institutions and Political Economy from the University of Barcelona and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Arizona. She has also worked as a research assistant on the ERC Starting Grant project DEMOTRADEOFF, led by PI Enrique Hernández.
