Julia Mollà Porcar

Julia Mollà Porcar is a FPI fellow at the Institut de Barcelona d’Estudis Internationals (IBEI), where she is developing her PhD thesis within the KNOWPOLIS project.

She holds an MA in Political Analysis and Institutional Assessment from the University of Barcelona and an MA in Urbanism and Local Policies from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. She was awarded a UB–Santander Collaboration Grant and worked with the GREL research group in the project “¿Transparencia o paredes de cristal? Efectos institucionales y ciudadanos de las políticas de transparencia en España”. She also contributed to the MAPLE Project at the Instituto de Ciências Sociais – Universidade de Lisboa (ICS-Lisboa).

She worked in Brussels at the Delegation of the Valencian Region to the European Union, first as an assistant and later as a Policy Advisor in the agriculture and water sectors. More recently she has worked at the Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria del Hospital Universitario La Paz (IdiPAZ) in IHI projects, working on ethics groups focused on patient involvement, compliance with clinical trial regulation, and Public and Patient Involvement (PPI). Her research interests include regulatory agencies, AI regulation development, Policy Advisory Systems, and methodological and causal analysis.
